![]() Rusty Williams Letter To Fans Sept 1st, 2010 NEW! To the Lloyd Dobler Effect Family, Thank you so much for your support and friendship over the past 10 years. I am writing to inform you that as of September 2010 I will no longer be a member of the band. I want you to know how much I have appreciated this exciting journey. I have learned so much from this experience and have grown musically from a young novice to a seasoned professional. I'd like to thank all the members of Lloyd Dobler Effect for including me in this decade long journey. I feel we have more than just a friendship, it is a brotherhood. We have been all over the United States and traveled the world from Asia to the Middle East creating unforgettable memories. Even though I will no longer be a band member I hope we will continue our great friendship and I wish you the best at continuing on your path to reach the dream we set out after. I will be continuing in my music career as a session musician, teacher and performance artist and hope to see you all in the future. Much love, Russ Chris's Journal: Ballydoyle Weekend June 15th, 2010 Our Ballydolye weekend was full of Jamison's, Birthday Celebrations, Rock Band, Generosity, and 5-hour Energy. The trip out to Chicago isn't overly daunting but depending on the amount of drivers, it can be rougher than normal. The weekend was packed with 4 shows in 3 days ... We lost a wheel guard and our air conditioning in 90 degree weather but success was not measured automotively this week. We would like to thank Steve for having us back and Aaron, Dan, and Michelle for their help setting up a great show for the folks on base at FG. After our gig on base, we left in search of food ... Let's just say the van needs a Fabreezing as well as an oil change. Piling in the roaming abode, The Beard, Ballz, Boss, Lockness, and Wanderer made their way across the country in search of a crowd. We landed in port Ames after the first 1,000 miles and settled for a dinner of Pizza and baseball. We shared the night at Mother's pub with our friends Elmwood from Nashville, TN who put on a rocking 45 minute set. It's nice to have friends out ... [ Read More ] A Mute Reminder Review April 1st, 2010 What is it about music these days that attracts us college students to tune in and listen to the radio, throw on iTunes or simply listen to our iPod on the way to class. Lately it seems that mainstream radio is over played or simply just does not play what we want to hear any more. However with alternative rock on the rise, it is no wonder why bands are becoming more unique with there sound and setting the precedent for other artists. This is exactly what the Lloyd Dobler Effect is implanting in to our hearts, our mind and most importantly our ears. In our search for tunes...
